Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·

The charity's three helicopters and four rapid response vehicles operate 365 days a year, with doctors and paramedics on board providing enhanced prehospital care to people across the entire North West region.

Story

On 23rd August 2024 I had a serious accident. It is no exaggeration to state that without the air ambulance and what they did for me I would not be here today. They literally saved my life.

I have since discovered they are a charity and each call out costs an average of £4000. I vowed if I could, I would do something to try and repay my debt in some small way. I will never be able to truly repay what they did for me - but I want to do something.

This last year has been a hell of a journey, supported by family and friends I am in a position where I am back to running and hill walking. I have even joined a local run club - something I would not have even contemplated pre-accident.

So it’s seems appropriate to run and challenge myself to my first ever half marathon.

In support of the air ambulance, their crew and all they have done for me I will be running London Royal Parks half marathon.

Please can I ask for your support, not for me but for this amazing cause and the lives they save.
