Story
Welcome to my TCS London Marathon #TeamHDA fundraising page.
I'm running the London Marathon for my Dad who passed of Huntington's Disease in 2019. Also for my aunty Julie who passed in 2023. Huntington's Disease is a genetic disease primarily affecting movement, cognition and behaviour. Symptoms increase over time and greater care and support is needed the longer someone has it. There is no cure for HD and death typically occurs 15-20 years from when the disease is detected. Unfortunately, this disease runs in my family and I am raising money for the Huntington's Disease Association who provide support for those affected. I also get to run the marathon which is a massive achievement and hoping to make all my family proud.
P.s. You do not have to tip justgiving when making a donation. This is done by zeroing the tip via "enter custom amount" on the donation summary screen (sometimes you need to scroll down the page a bit to see this).
I will be taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon to help us support people living with Huntington's disease in England and Wales.
