mitochondrial disease is something most people have never heard of, and being personally impacted by it within our family its something we could never have imagined either, a disease there really isn't a lot of awareness on and currently no cure. Essentially it is a group of chronic, genetic, and metabolic disorders that occur when mitochondria—the "power plants" of cells—fail to produce enough energy for organs to function properly, it comes in many different shapes and sizes and it's unpredictable nature can be hard to come to terms with, as sometimes there is noway to predict the path of the disease or what the future holds.

The goal is to create awareness and give anything possible to the Lily foundation so they can continue their contributions to the research they fund and the support and knowledge they provide, with of course the ultimate goal of a cure.

The 2026 mondello masters superbike championship will be the main platform for raising awareness but the plan isn't to stop the fundraising there 🏁
