Story

Meet Rosemary. In addition to bearing the scars of cervical dystonia, lymphodema, cardiac syndrome X, kyphosis and other ails, Rosemary has now been diagnosed with NPH (normal pressure hydrocephalus) and every day is an ordeal.
Rosemary is my Mum.
Mum, my sister Tracy and I have been supported by Shine’s amazing volunteers. I am now giving something back and intend to cycle 8687 miles (13900 kms) to raise funds for Shine over the 12 months from Mum’s 86th birthday on 22nd November 2025. Please give generously.
Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.
Everything we do is made possible by our generous supporters. Your fundraising efforts help individuals and families in your local communities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Every donation has the potential for profound impact.
THANK YOU for supporting Shine!
