Gary Hammond is raising money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

Team: Lauchlans Legacy

In memory of Lauchlan Thomson

Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 · 25 April 2026 to 26 April 2026 ·

Time to look out the tartan for the 2026 Glasgow Kiltwalk! Kiltwalk is Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event with over 172,000 people taking part since 2016.

Story

We are walking the Glasgow Kiltwalk and fundraising in loving memory of Lauchlan James Thomson, a bright, brave and beautiful boy who sadly lost his battle after a short illness. Taken far too soon at just 11 years old, Lauchlan touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His kindness, his humour, and his incredible spirit will never be forgotten.

During Lauchlan’s time in hospital, the team at Glasgow Children’s Hospital provided exceptional care, compassion, and support — not only for him, but for his family every step of the way. Their dedication made an unimaginable time just a little more bearable, and they will be forever grateful.

We are raising funds in Lauchlan’s honour to help support the amazing work the hospital continues to do for children and families facing the hardest moments of their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference to those who need it most.

This fundraiser is a tribute to Lauchlan’s memory — a way to carry his light forward and support the people who cared for him with such love.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support.

💙 For Lauchlan.
