Gary's fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer UK

The Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge · 23 July 2024
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
The Goggins Challenge is named after David Goggins (US Navy Seal) and it involves the following:
Run 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. It results in running 48 miles in 48 hours, with 12 runs in total. I’ll start at 6pm, and then run 4 miles again at 10pm, 2am, 6am and so on until the 12 runs are complete.
The broken sleep, minimal recovery and achy legs will all be obstacles to overcome but nothing in comparison to bigger obstacles that others face.
Please donate what you can and thank you in advance for your support, financial or otherwise.
‘Gary does the Goggins!’ Let’s go!
I completed the 4x4x48 challenge on Thursday 25th July at 2pm. Gruelling, tiring, more mental than physical but so, so worth it.
Thank you hugely for all of your donations to a charity that means so much to so many.
This page will stay open until the end of September so there’s still time to share and get others to donate.
Thanks again,
Much love,
Gary Goggins.
