Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 14th of August, 2025, my closest friend Gary Little died in a tragic accident on the northern slope of Sgurr Fhuaran, one of the Five Sisters of Kintail. His body was recovered by Kintail Mountain Rescue and HMCG.

A Glasgow based comedian, Gary was a keen hill walker and had completed three quarters of Scotland’s Munro. I want to finish walking the Sisters for him. Gary regularly did charity gigs, including a high altitude gig, “Summit Funny” at the top of Ben Lomond along with some fellow comedians. He left the majority of his estate to 10 different charities and would be pleased to know that I was raising money at the same time, for an organisation that provides a vital service to hill walkers and relies 100% on donations from the public, with every member of the Scottish Mountain Rescue teams volunteering their time and expertise for free.

I want to support my local Mountain Rescue team to continue providing their life saving support on the hills and mountains around my home town. They couldn’t continue this work without financial support from the public and every penny raised by this fund raiser will go towards saving someone’s life.
