Mito Warrior Archie (5) & his little sister Ava (4) 💜🏃‍♂️

I’m Archie and Ava’s Dad, and in April 2027 I’ll be running the London Marathon for The Lily Foundation.

Archie has a very complex life and is registered blind. He has to eat every 90 minutes to keep his blood sugars stable. He lives with low muscle tone, pain and extreme fatigue, yet despite everything he is the happiest little boy who loves life and never lets his condition stop him from doing what makes him happy.

The Lily Foundation supports families just like ours, providing hope, support and funding vital research into mitochondrial disease—a condition that currently has no cure.

This marathon is also a personal challenge for me. I live with Ankylosing Spondylitis, an autoimmune disease that causes chronic pain, stiffness and fatigue. Running 26.2 miles will not be easy, but I’m determined to do it for Archie, Ava and every family affected by mito.
