Story
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. If you’re over 50, or your dad or brother had it, you’re at even higher risk. The earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured. Over the last two decades Prostate Cancer UK funded and accelerated some of the biggest breakthroughs in prostate cancer care, and your money will help fund further research and increase survival rates.
We feel that this is a great cause to support and whilst we all love golf, this challenge is somewhat daunting (Gary is still unsure how he signed himself up for this). On the 12th June, we will play a tournament with 4(!) consecutive rounds of golf in the day. The first round starts at 4:30am (!!!), with the final round likely finishing around 7:30pm. Blisters guaranteed, and no buggies allowed - despite Kai's protestations that his new knee is still being worked in.
We will each walk close to 40km on the Day and hit over a 1,000 shots combined (Stephen will no doubt be responsible for over half of these). It will be a very long day...and feel even longer. What a way for Kai to celebrate his birthday on that day!
It would be fantastic to hit our fundraising target for this cause and donations would be gratefully received.
Thank you for your support!
Gary, Stephen and Kai
