Story
This year, I will be swapping my skipping rope for two wheels, and in the theme of 9 9 9, I will be attempting to visit 9 Derbyshire Fire Stations, covering 99 miles in 9 hours on Tuesday 9th June.
As the National Lead for UK Fire Cadets, I feel that it is important that whenever possible we lead by example. Every year Fire Cadets across the UK fund raise to support the Fire Fighters Charity who not only support firefighters who have become injured in the line of duty, but they also support families during their times of need.
My family and I have been lucky enough to have been supported by the Charity and so I would like your support to help me give back.
This will be a true challenge for me as I have never covered this kind of distance before and have the added difficulty of being narcoleptic. However, the more money I can raise, the more motivated I will be.
Please give what you can to such a worthy cause.
Every year supporters, donors and fundraisers come together to raise the £10m the charity needs to operate their services in support of the entire UK fire services community. The Charity have long been supported by the Fire Cadets through a broad range of local fundraising activities and challenges and cadets are able to access a range of services and support from the charity that may not be available otherwise
This year, UK Fire Cadets across the UK will be taking part in their 999 Challenge doing creative fund raising activities associated with the numbers 9 9 9 from April to June to raise funds for the Charity
