Story
I am currently serving as the B Squadron Sergeant Major in The Royal Dragoon Guards.
To push myself both physically and mentally, I will be completing a half marathon boot run while wearing boots and General Service Respirator (GSR) in Battlesbury Barracks, Warminster, UK. This event also marks a significant personal milestone, as I will be concluding my appointment as SSM in just two weeks time. I wanted to commemorate the end of this rewarding role by undertaking a challenge that reflects resilience, determination and service.
This is not just a personal challenge, it’s an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a cause that is deeply important to me and to everyone in our Regiment.
I am raising money to support our Regimental community: serving soldiers, veterans and their families. The funds raised will help us preserve our heritage, strengthen our Regimental family and ensure ongoing support throughout every stage of life.
This includes:
- Providing vital welfare support
- Supporting veterans beyond their service
- Delivering family-focused initiatives
- Maintaining and celebrating our Regimental heritage
Together, these efforts help keep our Regimental family connected for generations to come, improving wellbeing, strengthening bonds and ensuring no one is left behind.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference.
Thank you for your support.
