Gav and Dan completing the 3 Yorkshire Peaks Challenge in aid of our friends who are driving an Ambulance to Ukraine

3 Yorkshire Peaks Challenge Β· 5 September 2026

ICMDA is a charity to support the advancement of the Christian faith, education in medicine & dentistry, and the relief of sickness. We aim to walk in the footsteps of the Great Physician, the Lord Jesus Christ, who sent his disciples to preach the gospel and heal the sick. The VISION of ICMDA is to see a Christian witness through doctors and dentists in every community in every nation.

Story

Our friends Thomas Lee and Mike Lee are preparing for a trip to Ukraine this September with a charity called Mighty Convoy.!

They willl be driving a vehicle (an old ambulance) in a convoy of several vehicles to be used in medical emergencies.

It will be packed full of essential supplies and provisions for those in need.

They will be leaving this with ICMDA (International Christian Medical and Dental Association) for distribution.

While they are in Ukraine they will also be spending time with some connections they have through our church.

If you would like to help via JustGiving that would be lovely!! πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thank you!

Mighty Convoy is a non-profit with no paid staff (UK company no. 14093179). Our key partners are a UK registered charity, the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) and their sister organisation, the Christian Medical Association Ukraine (CMAU) in Lviv.

Everyone involved is a volunteer, including all our drivers, who not only volunteer their time but also pay for their own expenses and flights home.

We buy and drive ambulances and pick-up trucks and fill them with aid to take to Lviv, Ukraine. We operate a pay-to-drive model, otherwise we don’t have the funds to buy vehicles. It costs approx. Β£8,000 to buy a second-hand pick-up truck or ambulance, which includes the costs of fuel, channel crossing, insurance etc. to get them to Ukraine. Our volunteer drivers need to cover this cost by fundraising through their own networks.

We would love your support in this great cause for our friends.

Mike used to be a paramedic and both him and Tom are keen to support Ukraine at this difficult time.
