Story

This July, I’ll be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for Nai's House—a charity that is very close to my heart.

Nai's House was founded by my wife, Gemma, after the tragic loss of our daughter, Dené—known as Nai to her friends—in 2017, when she was just 22 years old. Losing Nai to suicide changed our lives forever. In her memory, Gemma created Nai’s House: a place that offers the kind of support Nai needed but struggled to find.

Nai’s House is not your typical mental health service. It’s a unique and groundbreaking approach to mental health and suicide prevention, designed to meet young people where they are. Rather than a clinical, medical model, Nai’s House provides a safe, welcoming, and holistic environment that feels human, not institutional. The focus is on early intervention, emotional wellbeing, and offering young people the tools they need to cope before they reach a crisis point.

From one-to-one support and crisis intervention to creative therapies and peer support, Nai’s House is saving lives. It offers young people a space where they feel truly seen and supported. The charity has already made a life-changing impact for so many young people and their families, but to continue this work, community support is essential.

To help raise funds, I’ll be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge—a tough 24-mile circular route that climbs the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. That’s 5,200 feet of ascent across some of the most rugged and beautiful landscapes Yorkshire has to offer. It will be a real test of endurance, but nothing compared to the challenges faced by those struggling with their mental health every day.

By supporting this challenge, you’ll be helping Nai’s House continue its vital, life-saving work—giving hope, support, and a future to young people who might otherwise slip through the cracks.

Thank you so much for your support.
