Story
I've set up this fundraising page to raise money to help fund research into Motor Neuron Disease. MND is a progressive life-shortening disease that can affect any age and can progress at any rate. Sadly, this was the case for a great colleague, Sandra Jardine, who was a dietician working with us in the UGI Surgical Unit of University Hospital Wishaw. Her diagnosis, illness and death happened at too young an age and too quickly. She will always be remembered for what she gave to her patients, and how hard she worked for her colleagues, and it is only right that something is given back in her name. I am proud to run the Berlin Marathon in memory of Sandra and to raise funds for MND.
The official bit next:
MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neuron Disease (MND), as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure.
We want a world without Motor Neuron Disease, so I’m fundraising because I want to help find a cure for this devastating disease.
Sponsoring me will also help MND Scotland to provide practical, financial, and emotional support to people affected by MND.
Thank you!
