Story
I first met Jen the little Jack Russell Cross in 2019.
At the time I didn't realise how special Jen would be in my life. She's become my best friend, when I've had a rubbish day, she's always there for walks and unconditional love. She's also become a travel buddy, often travelling to Scotland and around the country in our campervan, usually to do a parkrun.
Jen was rescued by Hope Rescue in 2015, after being fostered she then found her forever home with Soph on New Year's Day 2016.
Since meeting Jen I have absolutely fallen in love with the amazing work that Hope Rescue do.
Having done a few marathons and half marathons over the years, and having been an avid runner since I was 16, it seems fitting to do a running challenge to say thank you to Hope Rescue.
This year I will be taking part in the 65km Rabbit Run. This is a run that takes in the beaches, hills and the infamous Big Dipper at Merthyr Mawr. In turn this will be the furthest and hilliest run I have ever done in one go. It's going to be tough.
Hope Rescue aim to provide a place of safety for vulnerable dogs, rehabilitating and rehoming them whilst working towards creating lasting change to improve the welfare of all dogs. Collaborating with partner organisations to provide services to our local communities and support owners to help them keep their pets.
