Salesforce UKI fundraiser for Ukraine supporting Unicef and Open-Eyes

Tennis Tournament for Ukraine Humanitarian Effort · 7 September 2023
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I’m proud to be raising money to support UNICEF’s vital work for children affected by the war in Ukraine.
This is the 2nd iteration of the tennis event after last year's successful launch and I'm pleased to confirm we are upping the ante with more courts available, more partners sponsoring (thanks!!!) and more players joining and donating!
The tournament is taking place on Thursday 7 September at Beckenham Lawn Tennis Club, which has a rich history dating back to 1879. The club famously hosted a pre-Wimbledon grass court championship from 1886 to 1996, where the roll of honour included greats such as John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Jimmy Connors, Steffi Graf, Pat Cash, Billie-Jean King and Ivan Lendl.
We're expecting upwards of 60 players on the day in a doubles format with prizes for best male and female. We will also be bringing back the hugely popular 'fastest serve' competition using a professional-grade speed gun, and will have former GB Davis Cup pro Richard Whichello hosting, possibly with some surprise friends on the day!
Please show your support by making a donation - every penny raised will go to the charity and help children affected by this terrible war rebuild their lives as set out here: Unicef for Ukraine.
Note we are also proud to recognise and support Softserve's Open-Eyes charity which is also doing tremendous work for Ukrainians during this challenging time. If your preference is for your donation to reach Open-Eyes, please donate directly on their site linked above and let us know via a £0-value donation and comment here.
Finally, if you're interested in joining us on the day, please contact Gavin Simpson at gsimpson@salesforce.com with subject line "TennisForce for Ukraine"
