Treasured Loved Ones,

As I celebrate my 60 circles around the sun, I cannot think of a better birthday gift than to continue to help animals, especially those in need.

Over the years, we have supported Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. With a philosophy of never turning any dog or cat away since 1860, they are extraordinary in the care they give each and every animal through their rescue and rehoming efforts.

I asked them what they needed. Their answer was “a new transport vehicle”, a van to comfortably transport animals needing help. As an expression of my gratitude for all that I have and am, I would like to humbly ask that you assist me in fulfilling this need and, together, that we provide Battersea with a new Animal Transport Van or rather what I have named, the ‘Rata-That’ Van.

The ‘Rata-That’ Van will be optimised to minimise animal stress and be efficient and environmentally friendly. It will be air-conditioned to ensure that the animals are kept at an optimal temperature with excellent airflow around their kennel spaces while they are transported. It’ll have a music system also to keep them calm, and special door panels to provide simple access to individual dogs and cats, so their fellow animal passengers are not disturbed.
