Join Us for the “Summer 100” Charity Swim!

I am excited to announce the “Summer 100” Charity Swim following the success of our Festive 5km event in December. Save the date: Sunday 28th June from 7.30am -10am at the beautiful 50m Guildford Lido.

This fun, family-friendly social swim welcomes participants aged 7 and over. Children can form teams to complete the 5km challenge (100 lengths), while adults can take part individually, part of a team or as a family in the stunning 50-metre pool. Participants must be able to swim 100m comfortably.

Every length swum will help create life-changing moments for families supported by Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. Shooting Star is currently raising funds to reopen its Hydrotherapy Pool, which provides essential physical therapy, enjoyment and freedom for children who are unable to swim elsewhere.

The hydrotherapy pool supports more than 650 children and families each year, with over 300 sessions taking place annually. Their fundraising target of £15,000 will help modernise this vital facility and ensure it can continue supporting families for years to come.
