Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm fundraising for the British Heart Foundation to assist research cures and treatments, so that BHF can give people more time with the ones they love, just like they did for my family. Heart attacks that strike without warning, strokes that shatter futures, newborn babies born with broken hearts.💔 I'd be so grateful for your support.😊
My Daddy was diagnosed with Angina aged 64yrs & took early retirement after 46 years with British Rail as The Legend: “Big Gus: No1 Train Driver.” 🚂 In 1993, he received a pacemaker, which he jokingly said was the size of a box of Swan Vesta matches! Without this heart procedure, we would have missed out on 9yrs of his unconditional love, quick wit, and funny tales, like his chewing gum tree! (IYKYK)😂🤣 certainly we had to avoid high-voltage power lines, radio transmitters, and metal detectors on the Troon Beach!🏖️Laid back and full of fun, his pacemaker enhanced his life, it was his super power and we were all so proud and grateful for him. Sadly, my Daddy passed away aged 73yrs in 2002, just 8 months before his two granddaughters were born. I thank The British Heart Foundation with all of my ❤️ for giving me those extra years with my wonderful Dad xx
Every donation counts! £24 funds two hours of research by an early career scientist. Please help me reach my target and support life-saving heart research. Thank you!😊
