Gaze Burvill fundraising for Woodland Heritage

Gaze Burvill is raising money for Woodland Heritage

10K Walking Trail · 27 June 2025

Woodland Heritage was established in 1994, by two cabinet makers keen to ‘put something back’. We support resilient management of woodlands, development of the timber supply chain, dissemination of knowledge & skills and the tackling of threats to the future supply of high-quality UK timber.

Story

In conjunction with Woodland Heritage's inaugural Open Woods and Workshops initiative, we are holding our Open Workshop in the morning of 27 June (tickets available here). In a further effort to raise money for Woodland Heritage we are also walking our annual '10k Tread for Trees & Timber' in the afternoon on the same day (postponed from last October due to bad weather). We hope you come to both and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in our sunny Courtyard garden!

To thank you for your support, Gaze Burvill will match the first £1,000 raised!

A 10k route has been devised, starting and finishing at Lodge Farm, Gaze Burvill's Hampshire HQ which is nestled in the beautiful South Downs countryside. The route trails through the abundant natural beauty of the local area on the way, all the while raising funds and awareness for Woodland Heritage.

We all use wood, but we do not all grow trees!

Woodland Heritage are helping to protect our British woodlands by creating a thriving UK wood culture that benefits our environment, all people and our economy. They are doing this by championing the good use of home-grown timber from sustainable, productive woodlands for the benefit of present and future generations. Through a combination of demonstration sites, research, education, membership and outreach, they are building on the wisdom and skills of the past to weather the challenges of tomorrow.

Grow trees. Use wood. For our future.
