Story
On the 6th of July, a group of dedicated friends at Wessington Football Club will be supporting Alaria and embarking on a heartfelt journey, walking 10K to raise £1,000 for St. Michael’s Hospice. Starting at Victoria Park and finishing at the Hospice, this event is not just a walk; it is a testament to the compassion and support that our community can provide.
St. Michael’s Hospice is home to a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, complementary therapists, social workers, chaplains, and counsellors. These specialists work tirelessly together and often in partnership with the NHS to relieve patients’ symptoms and control their pain. Their mission is to help individuals live well until the end of life.
It is vital that everyone facing terminal illness receives the appropriate care and support needed to navigate the complex feelings and lifestyle changes that arise during such challenging times. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can offer as we strive to reach our goal. Please consider contributing to this noble cause and help us make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. ✨
