Griffin Cycling Club is affiliated with Barnsley RUFC. Most of us are either ex-players, or have long standing links to the club through friends and family. This ride was originally planned for the summer of 2020, but got delayed due to the Covid outbreak.

The Lakes & Dales loop is a 196-mile (315km) circular cycle route in Cumbria, through the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Eden Valley, with over 16,000-feet (5000m) of climbing. We plan to complete the course over 3 days on the weekend of 14-16th July. So each day will see over 100km of cycling, and over 5000 feet of climbing.

20 riders are taking part, with the assistance of a support van & crew. All costs have been raised at personal expense, or sponsorship, so every penny raised will go to Shine.
