Story

The 2023 Step Up Challenge is to row as far as we can go. 2,500 people per year are diagnosed with a spinal cord injury in the UK, we will aim to row 250,000 metres – 100m for each person affected by a spinal cord injury and raise critical funds for the scheme.

The Neurokinex Step Up Scheme brings a life-changing opportunity of six free rehab sessions to adults and children with a new spinal cord injury. It's an absolute lifeline which enables people to access the world-class Neurokinex facilities and expertise. The Step Up Scheme costs the Neurokinex Charitable Trust £420 per person to fulfil and it relies on funding for its survival.

From 3-10 September 2023, Neurokinex clients, families, friends and associates are stepping up to raise vital funds to secure the Step Up Scheme for another year. Many of those taking part benefitted from the Step Up Scheme themselves and know first-hand the physical and psychological value of this early intervention following their injury. They are now giving back to enable others to have this great opportunity.
