Team: GD24 - Game Day 24

Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge - There and Back (& Fourth) Again · 20 September 2025

Founded as a tribute to Marc Forth, whose life and legacy inspire our mission to make a difference. Driven by the understanding that men often face unique challenges in expressing their emotions and seeking help, we’ve created a safe and welcoming space where they can share their struggles without fear of judgement. Through open conversations, mutual support, and community connections, we aim to break the silence surrounding men’s mental health, challenge the stigma, and foster a sense of hope and healing for everyone involved. One step at a time.

Story

Year 8!

Talking Helps!

We're back again with the hiking and the gaming! This year we're off to Wales to tackle Pen y Fan, Cadir Idris and Snowden in the Welsh 3-Peaks challenge.

We're raising funds and awareness for Men's Mental Health through Back & Forth.

Once we're home we'll be setting up for our 8th annual gaming marathon, as we're getting older (naps are increasingly attractive now) we're only doing 24 hours straight. As a hark-back we'll be trying to complete the entirety of Destiny 2's Light and Darkness Saga within that 24 hours.

Men's Mental health is something that we feel extremely passionate about, especially considering there's a very large amount of men out there that are afraid to even admit it's something they can even talk about. J and I have both gone through this and are aware that the bravest thing is sometimes the toughest. That's where Back & Forth come in...

'Why We’re Here

At Back and Forth Mens Mental Health, we understand the importance of men's mental health and the challenges men face in seeking support. That's why we have created a supportive community where men can come together to share their experiences, build strong connections, and promote overall well-being. Following the tragic passing of Marc Forth in April 2023, the idea for this group was formed. Men struggle to talk and sometimes become so consumed in their thoughts, they only see one way out. With the kind permission of Marcs family, his name was used to form the group, so that his memory and legacy will live on. If the group only helps one person to speak out, and get help, then it has been a success.' click on the link above to start the conversation and we'll see you on 20th September.
