Story

Founded in 1983 in memory of pioneering climber, Don Morrison, The Edale Skyline Challenge is a strenuous, roughly 20-mile (32-35 km) hike in the Peak District, featuring 4,000 feet of ascent. The circular route explores the dramatic high ridges surrounding Edale, including peaks like Win Hill, Mam Tor, and the Kinder Plateau. Participants are pushed to their limits as they navigate steep climbs, rocky trails, and unforgiving terrain. On 20 September, a team of intrepid Teneo explorers are taking on this challenge to raise money for the Samaritans.

Teneo are proud to be supporting Samaritans until 2026 to help people who are struggling to cope.

Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans' vision is that fewer people die by suicide. We believe that suicide can be prevented.

Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland takes their own life.

Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope. We take action to prevent people reaching crisis point. We make sure there's someone there for anyone who needs someone. We give people the skills to look after their own mental and emotional health and wellbeing, build resilience, and support others. We campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.

Samaritans is a charity working across the UK and Ireland, and we need donations to help fund our life-saving work.
