A message from Sally Hicks who wrote the lyrics for the song:

"My husband Geoff had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease and was given months to live. A few months later he was fast tracked into a nursing home 20 miles away from where we lived. Seeing him deteriorate very rapidly, I tried to keep a brave face and sense of humour in front of him....Although at home I was breaking up...

I wrote the song lyrics at 3am when the emotions were washing over me..... but I was also remembering we had 2 beautiful very young grandchildren..... Hence the upbeat chorus of song."

"When Sally asked me to create the music for the song, I was deeply honoured and worked hard to honour her ideas and wishes. It's been a dream for a year to get this recorded for her, and whilst it has been done with the smallest budget, so that we can donate the most money to the charity, it has been a wonderful experience to bring the choir together and share the story with the wider community."
