In 2022 Gemma was diagnosed with breast cancer and undertook the Coppatrek in the Alps in 2023, raising over £15k for the wonderful Coppafeel.

This May, David will be joining Gemma in the alumni trek. Not only did David support Gemma throughout her treatment and look after their two young boys throughout, this is after sadly losing him own mum to the same disease in his 20s.

Breast cancer has sadly been a big feature in his life and Gemma is so pleased that he can join her in the alumni trek to further raise funds to support Coppafeel’s work for the early diagnosis of the disease, for the best prognosis as well as experience the wonder that is trekking alongside so many legends who have either lived or are living with breast cancer or like him, are walking in memory of another.

This May along with Gi Fletcher and other CoppaFeel! legends, we will be taking on marathon distance in one day, across the undulating terrain in the Yorkshire Dales, in a bid to raise funds towards CoppaFeel's life-saving mission.

Your donations will not only support our fundraising target, but most importantly CoppaFeel!. They are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs, pecs and chests and getting to know their bodies in order to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
