Hello and thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

I am taking part in a 12 hour Yoga Marathon (10am - 10pm) with Studio 70 Glasgow on Saturday 1st November, to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)

I am utterly devastated by the scenes coming from Gaza, and as far as I'm concerned, when babies are starving to death, politics and religion shouldn't matter any more (they have failed anyway). These are human beings who desperately need our help.

As many of you know, Yoga is a huge part of my life, I'm currently studying towards my 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher certification, and have developed a keen interest in Yogic philosophy and ethics. It's not just a way to move my body but a way to live my life with meaning and purpose.

Karma yoga is the yoga of action, it is one of the classical paths to spiritual enlightenment and it's core principle is performing service for the benefit of others (known as 'sevã'), without the expectation of reward.

I can't think of a better reason to use my body and practice ãsana (physical yoga postures) than to help people who are suffering horrors that I can't even comprehend. It feels like a much more worthy reason than strengthening my core.

So I ask you, my friends, family, clients, community, to please help me in this small act of sevã (and do your own bit of karma yoga) by making a donation. All of the money raised is going directly to Medical Aid for Palestinians who are working tirelessly to deliver all sorts of urgent care to people who are living in literal hell.
