Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Cancer and in particular, brain tumours, suck. Our family has lived experience of how devastating a diagnosis is, but also how research and treatment really can help prolong life.

It’s 15 years now since a close family member of mine was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour just after he fulfilled best man duties at our wedding, but thanks to the miracle of medical research we still have Ed in our lives!

To mark this mega milestone I’m fundraising for brain tumour research and am going to abseil off the Forth Road Bridge SAS style with my friend Casey!

I do this fundraising in memory of another family member whose brain tumour was sadly even more aggressive. We miss you Raymond.

Some facts

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight and together we will find a cure.
