Story

There’s something magical about lacing up your running shoes, stepping up to the starting line, and knowing that every stride you take contributes to a greater good. Charity runs are more than just events—they’re a powerful way to make a difference while challenging yourself to reach new heights. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, a charity run has the potential to transform lives, including your own. This will be my second charity run and I’m thrilled to be taking part to make a difference for the future of our friends and families. Having worked in the research department foe the last 6 years I have seen first hand how this makes a difference!

I am running to raise funds for Neurological Research. Unfortunately, I have friends and family who are suffering from these conditions, and I want to help fund research efforts that can make a difference.

Neurological conditions like Motor Neurone Disease (MND) are devastating. MND is an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves, causing progressive weakness over time.

While there's no cure, treatments that can help reduce the impact on a person's daily life. Some people live with MND for many years, but it can significantly shorten life expectancy, and sadly, it often leads to death.

There are so many other neurological conditions like Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s and many others that affect millions of people worldwide. The money raised will go directly to advancing treatments, improving patient care, and driving breakthroughs in understanding these complex conditions. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I’m determined to make every step count.

If you’d like to support my efforts, anything you can spare will be gratefully appreciated! Your generosity will help bring hope and a brighter future to those living with neurological disorders.
