Story
This October, Hannah Beachill, Lauren Shields and I will be taking on the challenge of walking 100 miles each to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, the UK's leading breast cancer charity.
Anyone who knows me will know that voluntarily walking 100 miles is very out of character, so this is going to be a real challenge! If there was a fundraising event involving sitting down with a bar of chocolate, I'd be first in line. 🍫😅
We're taking on this challenge because breast cancer is something that has recently hit close to home, with my manager being diagnosed with cancer. It's a reminder of just how many people are affected by this disease and the impact it has on individuals and their loved ones.
During October alone, breast cancer will take almost 1,000 lives in the UK. They are mums and daughters, friends and colleagues. Someone loved. Someone missed.
Breast Cancer Now has a bold vision that by 2050, everyone affected by breast cancer will live, and live well. Every pound raised helps fund life-saving research, provide vital support services, and bring us closer to making that vision a reality.
We'd be hugely grateful for any support you can give, whether that's making a donation, sharing our page, or simply cheering us on as we try to complete 100 miles in 31 days! Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a difference. 💗🎀
Thank you for helping us go the distance for Breast Cancer Now.
