As you know we lost Karl in September, after a a nearly 4year battle with a brain tumor he was our everything. Edith our youngest daughter along with our good friends The Dooley's are running the Colour Blast Race to raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepard. Karl loved the support he got from there, he regularly attended the coffee and chat groups loved his physio therapy,music therapy sessions and many other classes they had to offer. We couldnt of asked for more and were always amazed by there kindness and unwavering support and ability to put a smile on his face.
Hospice of the Good Shepherd supports patients in Chester, Cheshire West, Ellesmere Port and Deeside who are facing a life-limiting illness.
The Hospice's dedicated team of staff and healthcare professionals aim to meet the unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of those with a life-limiting illness, and help to maintain their dignity.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services free of charge to its patients and costs £5.2million to run each year with just 17% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising events such as Foamtastic Colour Blast, the support of the generous local community in Cheshire. In addition,
