This September I will, once again, be running the Great North Run. I will be running for The Sick Children’s Trust- Crawford House Newcastle for the second time - in memory of Theo Hutton.

Crawford House supports families of sick children being treated at Royal Victoria Infirmary by giving them somewhere to stay just minutes from their seriously ill child’s hospital bedside.

Beth and Jamie welcomed their baby son Theo in July 2022. Due to Beth having severe preeclampsia Theo was born prematurely at 24 weeks, but with the help of The Sick Children’s Trust Beth and Jamie were able to stay close to Theo as he received around the clock treatment in the RVI NICU. Beth and Jamie were able to be with their precious Theo everyday by his side. Theo fought so hard but unfortunately despite all efforts his lungs were too weak and he passed away in August at 5 weeks old.

Beth and Jamie have talked of how much being able to stay close to Theo during his time at the NICU meant to them. Crawford House couldn’t have done more for them and were always on hand to help and support.

Not only would I love to beat last year’s time, I’m also aiming to beat last year’s fundraising total - and play a small part in helping this wonderful charity to be there for as many families as possible during their darkest moments. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
