Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune condition in which there is an increased tendency for the blood to clot. The condition can cause strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary emboli and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is a leading cause of recurrent miscarriage and stillbirth.

Story

On 19th April, I’ll be running the Newport South Wales Marathon in support of APS Support.

This charity is incredibly close to my heart, as Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) affects someone very important to me. APS is a condition that often goes unseen and misunderstood, yet it can have a huge impact on daily life, physical health, and emotional wellbeing. Seeing first-hand how challenging it can be has made me want to do something meaningful to help.

APS Support provides vital information, guidance, and community for people living with APS and their families. The work they do helps ensure no one has to face this condition alone.

Running a marathon is a huge personal challenge for me, but it feels small compared to what many people with APS go through. Every mile I run is for them — and every donation, no matter how big or small, helps make a real difference.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting me and this amazing charity. Your generosity truly means the world.
