On Sunday 28th Sept I'll be taking part in the Rainforest Run along with hundreds of people all over the world, running in our own chosen terrain to raise money for the work of International Animal Rescue. I ran 10km last year, so this year I'll be running 15km, just so you know I've really put in the effort for the animals!

International Animal Rescue work tirelessly to protect wildlife and their precious habitats. Their rescue centres around the world have helped over 100 species and in Costa Rica they are rescuing at least one animal every single day. Their aim is to return animals to their natural environment wherever possible, but they also provide a permanent home for those that can no longer fend for themselves.

In addition to rescue, rehabilitation and release, the charity run a number of rainforest restoration and protection programmes. Through forest patrols, reforestation, training, research, education and the development of alternative livelihoods, the forests that we all depend on are being kept safe and thriving.

By taking part in The Rainforest Run on Sunday 28th September I'm playing a part in the urgent fight to save our planet. I hope you'll join in by sponsoring me!
