Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Running the London Marathon has been a personal challenge I've wanted to take on for a long time, I am so grateful to now have this opportunity and what better way to do it than to raise money for a fantastic charity in the process - Deafblind UK.

Losing both sight and hearing has been described as one of the most challenging experiences a human being can endure! It is estimated that there are currently 400,000 people in the UK who are deafblind.

Many people who are deafblind suffer from extreme isolation and loneliness – and I believe that no one should ever feel lonely! The work of Deafblind UK is vital for ensuring that people who are deafblind can live confidently and independently, showing people that there can be a life beyond deafblindness!

Deafblind UK have a strong presence in Peterborough and are in the process of transforming their old offices into two high-dependency accessible flats for local people who have deafblind needs, the first project of its kind in the UK.

I look forward to sharing more about this amazing charity and my training journey over the next few months! In the meantime, thank you so much for all your support!
