Story
Next April, I’ll be running my first London Marathon (2026) in support of the Single Homeless Project (SHP), a charity that’s incredibly close to my heart.
For over twenty years, I volunteered as a youth leader across London, and more recently, I’ve volunteered with SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) services, supporting rough sleepers during the harshest months. Through these experiences, I’ve seen firsthand how homelessness can affect anyone—often through nothing more than bad luck or a sudden change in circumstances.
SHP’s work is vital; they're there during life’s most critical moments, helping someone avoid eviction, leave the streets, access vital treatment, or find a job and a home so they can rebuild their independence.
Over the next nine months, I’ll be sharing my marathon training journey on social media: the highs, the setbacks, and everything in between. I'll also be highlighting the incredible work that SHP is delivering to tackle homelessness in the capital.
If you can, please donate. Every pound raised will help SHP continue their life-changing work across all 32 London boroughs.
Let’s work together to make sure everyone has a place to call home.
Thank you for being part of this journey
