Story

After saying i would NEVER do another half marathon i have decided to sign up to The Great North Run 2025. Funds will go specifically to the Snowdrop Suite based at James Cook University Hospital as part of South Tees Charities.

The Snowdrop Suite is a private room located on central delivery suite where care is provided before, during and after the birth of a baby. The room features an en-suite bathroom and kitchen area. The Snowdrop Suite opened in 2023 thanks to the fantastic fundraising efforts of bereaved families, hospital staff and local businesses.

Following the birth of a baby you can stay in this room and spend time meeting your baby and making precious memories.

The midwives are experienced in supporting families with the practicalities of this and can provide you with items which you can use to make precious memories.

The reasoning for doing this is to raise money in memory of baby Alfie Tom Ostler-Gill who was born sleeping on the 4/12/24. The snowdrop suite provided excellent care to both baby and parents. Im hoping by raising money and awareness of the snowdrop suite might bring some sort of comfort to my amazing friends Rosie & Rob. Their strength is inspirational and i am honoured to run this in memory of their beautiful son.

Any donation how big or small will be greatly appreciated 🩷.

Thank you

Gemma xx
