Story

Most of you will know that we lost our, much loved, brother and brother-in-law, Adam, to cancer last July.

Adam spent his final days as an in-patient at St Barnabas Hospice in Lincoln. The unwavering care and support that the incredible staff at the hospice showed Adam and our family during this time was genuinely and absolutely invaluable. It’s really difficult to imagine how we would have managed without it.

In memory of Adam and in support of the hospice’s ongoing work, Sam and I are attempting the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge on June 21st this year. We’ll be walking 100km continuously and, although we’ve completed these challenges in the past, they only seem to be getting more difficult as we get older!

The last time Sam and I walked 100km we said we’d never do it again so Adam would be having a good laugh at us right now for getting ourselves into this situation! We need all of the support we can get!

St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity who supports more than 12,000 people across Lincolnshire affected by a life-limiting or terminal illness each year. They deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left.

They are reliant on the financial support the community provides, to be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
