Story
75km Along the Jurassic Coast for MS Society – 16th May
On 16th May, I’ll be taking on an epic 75km challenge along the breathtaking (and brutal!) Jurassic Coast – alongside some amazing friends – all in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
This challenge means more than just the distance.
My best friend Laura was diagnosed with this cruel disease, and instead of letting it define her, she is choosing to fight back in the most powerful way possible — by pushing herself to complete 75km in one go to raise money for this incredibly important cause. Her strength and determination inspire me every single day.
I’ll be right there beside her, every single step of the way.
The Challenge
We’ll be walking 75km along the Jurassic Coast, starting at Corfe Castle and finishing in Bridport.
Our aim?
To complete the entire distance in one go.
It’s going to test us physically and mentally — but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by those living with MS.
Training So Far 💪

25th April 48km Dartmouth-Brixham-Dartmouth
This was absolutely gruelling, all 3 of us struggled at the 25km point and had a little moment. The hills were something else, but we got through it! This was by far the hardest hike I’ve ever done, and whistle I know I’ll have double the distance to do on the day, the terrain will not be as harsh!
Here we’re are during and the much needed after drink!

21st March- 38km Corfe to Weymouth in 7 hours. Was one of the best days and we enjoyed every single second, what’s even better is that it’s given us the confidence to know we can do this! The roller coaster hills at durdle door was absolutely nails but coming into Weymouth even though we knew it was the end was far worse. It’s so flat and you seem to walk forever but not get anywhere ! Anyway next walk with all of us together scheduled for end of April but will be getting my steps in and roping anyone in that would like to join me! 😜

Sat 13th March- a 12.5mile hike across the south ham coastal path. My doggies and husband walked from the the house and took a ferry from Dartmouth to Kingswear to walk the coastal path to Brixham. Very hilly! But we stopped for a moment to pop into the National Coast Guards lookout. These guys are all volunteers and fund everything themselves. On the return we jogged back so could make up time for the rugby!

I’ve been unable to get out hiking because I was away this week (4th-6th March, but I did put in a some miles on the slopes ⛷️. It’s a bloody good workout. But this week I will be back to getting out with the dogs and putting some miles in with my new running vest!

Last weekend (28th Feb) we completed a 26km training loop covering:
Corfe - Swanage -Durlston Country Park - Dancing Ledge- Worth Matravers And back to Corfe
The weather was awful. The mud was ankle-deep in places. We were slow. We were soaked, and we had to fight some cows along the way.
But we still finished it, and this is just the beginning!
We have several more gruelling training sessions planned leading upto the big day.
Why We’re Doing This
Multiple Sclerosis is unpredictable and life-changing. It affects over 130,000 people in the UK alone. The MS Society funds vital research, provides support, and fights for better treatments and ultimately a cure.
By donating, you’re not just supporting a long coastal walk — you’re supporting Laura, and thousands of others living with MS every single day.
Please Support Us 💛
If you can donate — no matter how small — it will make a difference. If you can’t donate, please share this page.
And most of all, wish us luck!
This is going to be tough. But Laura is tougher.
Thank you so much for your support.
I will keep updating our journey as we go along, And of course there will always be the obligatory pint at the end of one of our walks!
