I’m taking part in TRACE2025, a trek through the rainforests and highlands of Costa Rica to fundraise for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Having been a carer to someone in the early stages of Alzheimer’s to seeing the very end of the disease when I lost my grandma recently. I know all too well, how harrowing a diagnosis is, for not only the individual but their friends and family.

Alzheimer’s Research is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. They are funding ground-breaking projects. Your donation will help scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose and treat dementia - with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

Rest assured that 100% of your donation for this challenge goes directly to the charity. The trek itself is generously funded by my workplace.

This is going to be a big challenge for me! You know I prefer the luxe side of travel, not sure what amenities will be available when camping in the Costa Rican jungle (🕸️🐍🕷️) and not to mention I’ll need to get in shape for the trek itself! However, it is for an incredible cause, I’ll be remembering the loved ones I’ve lost to this disease.
