Story
After suffering Postpartum Psychosis, I am so grateful for the support in my recovery that this charity provided me and to other future mums.
To raise money for this vital charity me and Steve will be suffering on the 29th September running Torbay Half Marathon!!!
Steve raised money during his marathon after I recovered post our first born, so this is our official way of telling the Illness it didn’t beat us :) and to make sure others who suffer get the support they need.
I am also busy supporting recovering mums at a cafe group hosted by the charity, letting Emily’s smiles give others hope :)
Really appreciate anything you can afford to give. Gem, Steve, Oliver & Emily xx

Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) is a UK charity. We’re here to make sure mums, parents and families are supported through postpartum psychosis – a severe, but treatable, form of mental illness that occurs after having a baby and affects 1400 new mums in the UK each year.
We offer information and peer support, facilitate ground breaking research, raise awareness and campaign for improved services.
Our life changing peer support network helps women and families affected by postpartum psychosis feel understood, supported and less isolated.
