Each year, the Diocesan Pilgrimage of Arundel and Brighton takes 100's of pilgrims to Lourdes to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France. The group includes pilgrims who are sick, disabled, frail or elderly and need our help to make the journey. These pilgrims are assisted by self funded team of helpers, leaders, chaplains, doctors and nurses.

Dance Central Sussex heard about the pilgrimage through one of nurses, Gemma, who like much of the hospitality team, has supported the pilgrimage for many years. And last year, Dance Central ran a successful charity event, raising enough money to fund two children on the pilgrimage.

After last years achievement, Gemma and the other Dance Central dancers will be taking part in another challenge this year to raise money for the 2026 pilgrimage. The dancers are aiming to complete 50 dances on Saturday 11th October at Goring Conservative Club, 49 Mulberry Lane, Goring-by-Sea, Worthing, West Sussex. BN12 4RA to raise funds to support children with health conditions or long term health conditions in making their pilgrimage, for a week with their families and other children. The cost to send one child on the pilgrimage is a minimum of £850, dependent on their requirements.
