Hiiii, in about 6 weeks I’ll be running the Hackney half for War Child and would be ever so grateful if you would consider sponsoring me! My first run of the year did not go quite to plan (see picture), very much aiming to ending closer to the other pics.

Most of all, I’m hoping to raise as much as possible for War Child. I’ve had the privilege of working with them a couple of times over the years, and sadly their work has never been more important.

Today, 1 in 5 children are affected by conflict - that’s living within 50km of an active conflict zone. War Child is a specialist charity that supports children living through these crises, helping those who have experienced unimaginable trauma to rebuild their lives. They work to ensure children can feel hopeful again and grow up the way all children should — with dreams, education, and a sense of safety.

With aid cuts having a devastating impact on the humanitarian sector, funding from other sources has never been more critical. It enables War Child to keep responding to emergencies in places such as Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
