Story
‘Wondered if you fancied a dad bod prevention session? Thought we could sign up for an event next year, maybe a half marathon. All train with a Strava group so we have a bit of mutual encouragement then do it altogether. Maybe Rutland half marathon, and make it an annual event if we enjoy it??’
Well that’s how it started. We have been a solid friendship since Scouts and we are all now Dads or Dads to be. These supportive friends have now agreed to turn our Dad bod prevention sessions into a force for good for one of our mini-mes.
After a very stressful pregnancy our rainbow baby, Hattie was born with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC). Your child has a major part of her brain missing, not something you expect to hear. We were told her development would be unknown and to take each day, week and month as it comes. 5 and a half years later she faces countless challenges, but doesn't let her diagnosis stop her climbing mountains and that have put running half a marathon into proper perspective as her Dad.
So to my supportive friends thank you forever, let’s smash this for the mini-mes.
Please find below information about Corpal, a wonderful charity which support Hattie and other young people who face Disorders of the Corpus Callosum and who we’d like to raise £500 for. Thank you for your support.
