This is a charity very close to my heart. My sister in law, Elaine succumbed to the disease in 2025 after bravely living with the disease for around 20 years. For the last 5 years Elaine could not walk, and was unable to care for herself. Only my brother could really communicate with her. The symptoms are similar to MND but this disease is passed on directly to 50% of children born to a parent to carries the gene.

My niece campaigns and fundraises tirelessly to raise funds for research. She lives with the knowledge that she could face the same outcomes as her mum unless a cure is found very soon. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
