Geoff Robins' fundraiser for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)

Henry Robins is raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young

London to Paris 2025 · 23 July 2025 to 27 July 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

In honour of Geoff's 70th birthday, he is doing a sponsored cycle ride from London to Paris in July 2025 to raise money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), which Farnham Rugby Club has a strong affiliation to.

Geoff has been involved with Farnham Rugby Club as a first team player, Club Captain, Chairman (29 years) and is now their President.

In February 2020 106 local young people were screened at Farnham Rugby Union Football Club. The screening was held in memory of Richard Brember, the second team captain who died suddenly in 2018 of a cardiac arrest.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
