In memory of our much loved Dad and Grandad, Geoff Evans. We would like to donate any funds in our Dad's memory towards the Resuscitation Ward under the UHNM Charity for the incredible care that he received in the final hours of his life.

Unfortunately our Dad had been bravely facing cancer privately for some time, which he had kept to himself.

We (Kayleigh and Gareth) were quietly supporting our Dad through the later stages of his illness after he informed us that he was unwell and that the illness had already advanced several weeks ago.

After many tests, he was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma on Friday 27th March which had spread to his spine and other areas of his body. Almost immediately following his appointment, our Dad became very unwell and was rushed back to the Royal Stoke after returning home that evening where staff worked tirelessly and with incredible warmth and attentiveness to save his life, continuing to keep him comfortable when his body began shutting down.

He continued making us laugh and making stubborn remarks right until the end like the warrior that he was. We are so very proud of him.
