Story
For the fourth year running, I’m getting back on the saddle for the epic London to Paris cycle – a journey that has become an annual pilgrimage me, all in support of Unique. As many of you know, Unique holds a profoundly special place in my heart because it stands as a beacon of hope and practical support for families navigating the complex world of rare chromosome disorders.
4 years ago, our lives irrevocably changed with Beau's diagnosis of 15Q Duplication Syndrome. That moment, hearing 'your child has a disability,' is a memory etched into our souls. It’s a journey of unknowns, of daily challenges and triumphs, and one where the support of Unique is absolutely invaluable.
Each year, as I cycle those hundreds of kilometres, I carry Beau's strength, resilience, and infectious joy with me. And I carry the faces of all the other children and families that Unique supports. The incredible generosity you've shown over the past three years has not only fuelled my legs but, more importantly, has directly translated into tangible support for these families – specialist information, a community of understanding, and the knowledge that they are not alone.
This year, as I embark on my fourth ride, I'm asking for your help to make our biggest impact yet. Beau's journey, and the journey of countless other children, is ongoing. Unique's work is never done. Every single pound you donate is a lifeline, helping Unique continue to fight for these children, providing resources that empower parents and bring hope.
Please, join me once again. Let's make this year's fundraising the most successful yet, ensuring that Unique can continue to be there for every family, every child, every step of the way. Your support doesn't just fund a charity; it invests in a future where no one faces a rare diagnosis without understanding, connection, and hope.
