In 2022, my son Beau was diagnosed with a rare chromosome syndrome, 15q Duplication syndrome.

Learning you have a disabled child is a difficult moment for any parent and takes time to adjust to the reality that your life will be forever different. Unique is a charity that gives support to families like mine and helps them through this difficult process.

Chromosome conditions vary and can effect children very differently in terms of symptoms they experience. So for everyone managing one of these conditions, it is very much a journey into the unknown.
